Ed borrowed an Arcusin C14+ square bale bundler from a friend. The first day using it was pretty challenging; Ed had to clean out some shredded hay string in the knotters and figure out how to properly re-string everything (that took a few tries).
The second day was golden. Everyone figured out the process from pick-up and bundle to grapple and load. The field was clear within a few hours, even with clouds and a threat of rain.
Ed plowed up a field he had been cutting for a mix of Johnsongrass and Gordo blue stem. He sprigged it with Jiggs bermudagrass in late June. It's looking like it will make a cutting in the next few weeks.
If we can get 6,000 more bales into the hay barn we'll be good to go for the 2021 winter hay season.
